I am a PhD student at the "Univeristat Pompeu Fabra". I'm member of the babylab at the Center for Brain and Cognition. I have a BSc in Psychology (Universitat Rovira Virgili) and a MSc in Neuroscience (Universitat de Barcelona). During my PhD I have been also at Central European University.

My research focuses in development of social cognition and their influences in other cognitive processes. Concrectly my thesis explores how infants represent the social hierarchies and its influences on learning. Humans, as social animals, are characterized by live in groups and the hierarchical organization between the different individuals is the structure most commonly adopted. From this stratification, two well-known roles arise within the group’s members: the leaders and the followers. Leaders are those who have a non-random differential effect on the group behaviour, meanwhile the followers are usually influenced by the leaders. The first part of my thesis explored when and how infants are able to represent these social structures. Next, I would like to relate these social roles with the infant's learning processes, testing the hypothesis that there is a bias of trustworthiness towards agents labelled as leaders.
